Virtual DBS, Inc. Acquires Cloud Automation

Acquisition Enhances Cloud-Based Data Platform Software for Marketers

North Kingstown, Rhode Island.  August 15, 2014 – Virtual DBS, Inc. announced its acquisition of Cloud Automation of Denver, CO, a leader in custom marketing database creation in the cloud. Cloud Automation will be consolidated into Virtual DBS headquarters in Rhode Island.

Cloud Automation was founded by Phil Parr and Tee Parham in 2009 to provide automated data services and reporting on Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).  Cloud Automation’s services include designing and building fully automated systems in the cloud to capture real-time transactions and update underlying databases.

Cloud Automation’s expertise in real-time database creation provides a valuable enhancement to Virtual DBS’s existing suite of cloud-based database marketing services and SaaS (software as a service) offerings. Clients who require real-time database updating can now be served via Virtual DBS’s V-DataMart™ cloud-based database marketing extract and analysis platform.

“Our acquisition of Cloud Automation provides an exciting addition to the database products and services we offer marketers.  Cloud Automation’s expertise in real-time database management allows us to serve clients whose data changes frequently and will allow us to provide a highly effective solution for their needs,” said Brad Mitchell, CEO of Virtual DBS.

Phil Parr, co-founder of Cloud Automation states, “We are excited to become part of the Virtual DBS family.  Because our companies’ offerings are already so closely aligned, we anticipate a seamless integration into the Virtual DBS mix.  We look forward to providing additional value to Virtual DBS clients through the addition of real-time database services.”
